CNY Dinner Y'all

this happened on tues.. a day of mad rushing, where i started the day a lil too late and tt ended up just messing up my whole schedule.. :X to nick's place for lunch, played poker where i lost a hell lot of money, seriously i just had such bad luck w only cards tt could win 2 out of so many rounds.. and nick is some lucky shit! even when he didn't bet, his cards were still so good he could've won. oh well.. then to yuanhong's to see his dog! haha, i must say he's so much more tame now.. good dog.. :) and finally to aud's! i was like an hour plus late by the time i reached aud's.. SO SORRY! and it was hilarious cuz i went to the wrong house and peered in.. and it was some bangla-deshi person! -.-" oops. then it back to my place for dinner! :) and this is me after dinner practicing GUITAR HEROs II... guys, i've a gig coming, please stay tune! :D

its tt time of the year again.. where we get to meet all the relatives tt we probably see like twice a year or sth.. and of course, where kiddos get to line their wallets with the extra cash :) yay..

but this year has been rather busy. reunion dinner was at my place, so yeah, naturally, it would be extremely crowded and i've to help out. and tt's after i went over to my paternal side to have reunion dinner first.. :/ but it was lotsa fun and games with my cousins after tt cuz she brought so many games! over the span of 2 days, we played BANG, Settlers of Catan, Super Munchkins, Taboo and the usual variety of card games like Big Two and bridge.. haha.

over at my dad's side, it was some serious black jack. but gee, i have no luck this year.. on CNY itself, i barely made like $4, not the $14 i initially thought i made.. :( well well, at least it wasn't a lost.. and i ate a lot.. love my granny's salted vege duck soup and her curry!! yummyyummy, i feel well fed.. :)

then it was all fun and games w my other cousins at my other grandma's place, with many blunders from my cousins tt made for a good laugh. the 2 youngsters were sooo hyper! TSKTSK.

after minimal rest, i went to chi's place today. wah, tiredness man.. mahjong was -ok-. i wasn't thinking but yeah since there's no money involved.. its too tiring to use any brains. then visited a grumpy and nauseous cm in the hospital. think he should be ready for discharge soon! :) then it was a mad rush to my aunt's place for yet another good meal. really delicious and nutritious soup and curry again. way too much food, fish, prawns etc etc. haha. and then it was back to black jack again. boo, my uncle sucked all my money away.. gee, i lost like$16? sighs! bad luck... GRR.

my days sadly have been not terribly interesting.. other than catching little children which i think is rather good. but i would've preferred the ending to be someone different - a successful elopation would have been great.. i mean, it would've have given all of us who are struggling hope, though i guess in this case, it would as Sarah puts in the movie, 'the struggle itself is beautiful', even though it was doomed to fail.

recently, we celebrated claire's 21st birthday.. twice actually. this is at club chinois.. a chinese fusion kinda restaurant.. :) below is the king prawn in a yummy creamish sauce..

Farewell my Friend...

sent chen 'good ideas' zepeng off at the airport just a while ago.. a rather saddening affair.. this marks the first of many more farewells come august. i am gonna be v sad as all my closest friends leave after another... :( no more confidants.. 2 of my closest confidants have already left.. and soon another 3 will be gone... OH NO! esp when one will be gone for 8 years, and another for 'X' years.. lol

haha, ok, i think i am being nonsensical right now. yup... byebye zp, i will definitely miss you.. i hope i can fly over to visit you one day.. and u must come back often.. :) i'd miss all your crappy nonsense tt can just perk up my days, the fun we have when we DOTA (though u can be Mr Bossy) :P, and all the times we stayed over and just played all kinds of card games and PS2 and xbox etc. PS: you are my bestest card partner and competitor in hearts. heh.

hope u do manage to see this one day.. and not lose anything along the way there! haha.. take care and keep in touch :)

busy busy busy! its late and i'm slpy.. ok this is a nonsensical post.. but the past few days have been quite fun.. :) yup... zp my dearest, hope u enjoyed your 'surprise'... :)

2 birthdays, a stayover, and a movie star wannabe

its just been hectic past few days/weeks... more pple turning 21! :) yeah, all as old as me now.. haha. a week ago, we were at em's 21st bday... big affair with many pple.. here's a shot with the meddies.. lamb and pizza was yummy and usual, and the ferrero rocher cake was just heaven.. :D yes, and the pseudopod moment was just hilarious.. (i spelled pseudo rite this time!!). and not to mention the eye opening show we gotta see as eugene had to do forfeit after forfeit, involving various raunchy dances, with a chair, pole and what nots.

then today, was good old friend of many years, matthew's birthday. so sweet of elina to have planned everything.. :) and it was one hell of a far away place, in choa chu kang.. 3 expressways and somemore roads just to get myself there. all in a groggy state of less than 5h of slp. ok, but it was great fun, in a way cuz i really gotta see so many pple i've not seen since i left RJC.. so so many pple... all familiar faces save a couple of junior councillors. yes, and the overzealous bartender in shengxiang started dispensing an abundance of alcohol really early on, causing a great many pple to turn red and get high. it was really funny to hear the conversations of pple tt were partially drunk, or probably drunk but refuse to admit it, and see them just jump around madly. poor alvin loke though... puked till he was weak in the knees and was so pale and had to be practically carried home. zp was also behaving drunk, but then, he behaves tt way even without alcohol, so yeah, its some scary shit. in the end, after many many rounds of conversations with many different pple, we were contented to dump matthew in the pool, rather spontaneously. as we were leaving, elina said, to us, you aren't gonna stay to watch matthew get dunked? so zp, nick, weili, ming quan and i carried him and dumped him! woohoo, finally someone gets dunked.. :D really enjoyable day cuz yeah, its always fun to get to interact with many different pple, rather than at some parties where u r confined to only a few pple u know

after tt was supper at east coast with some easties.. seriously, i dunno why i am still up.. we had a stayover at ian's the nite before with anna, yingling, aud and hs (for a while).. consisted of watching aliens, a failed attempt at making panna cotta (somehow the texture was more like agar than custardy), watching step up (i totally concussed during this movie), bridge - terrible bidding by me cuz i left my brains at home haha, supper at al azhar - really yummy prata.. i just ate and ate even though it was freaking 4am and i should totally not be stuffing my face with oily prata. haha.. then after supper, more bridge, and finally, fell aslp 7-9.

yup, few photos cuz i am lazy now! but i gotta post this one in response to ian's nonsense abt me being his geeky follower. ahem, u see, we were in marina square one day, and we were approached to be part of this movie they were filming. of course ian with his double size ego thinks he is the true star, and i'm like totally the geek beside him.. but i beg to differ, look at my movie star likeness man, shades and all to keep those flashbulbs from the paparazzi from blinding me, and well, in hopes i wun be recognized, but is so totally not working! :P

alrite, tt was totally crap, we dun have delusional egos in case u were wondering. but yeah, we didn't get our 5mins of fame cuz the film looked so B-grade and we were in a rush.. :P

ok... this is a new template for the new year.. albeit a little late. and yeah, a shift to the new blogger! but yes, took an insane amt of time for me to get this together.. combined 2 templates... dun anyone say this doesn't look like 3+ hours of hard work, mostly spent trying to figure out how this works.
